Job Purpose/Summary
The Head of NOV & New Business Opportunities presents the company in maintaining and monitoring the joint ventures/activities with partners, takes care of new asset opportunities released from and the market, provides E & D Department with information/reports to support the shareholder management and new business development.
Key Accountabilities/Result Area
- Represent the Company to attend partner meetings (Workshops/TCMs/OCMs), review and monitor project plans, project schedules (ITWP), HSE performance, working days, budgets/CAPEX and expenditures for the above APCC interest and prepare authoritative reports that give APCC management full visibility into these ventures.
- Follow up, review and evaluation of new business opportunities(eg open blocks, new development assets, etc) which are in line with strategy of the company, and report to the management to determine the way forward plan.
- Participate in reviewing challenges/technical options with partner and play the roles that will positively impact the final decisions for the Joint venture business activities and investments.
- Document and follow up important actions and decisions resulting from technical meetings which includes preparing high quality minutes of meeting, weekly executive highlights for the department, as well as presentation materials for internal meetings such as work business plans (WBP), updated Non operated activities and timelines (drilling wells, workovers, EPS), reserves/production profiles/performances and forecasts, reserves and costs.
- Oversee the preparation and follow-up of IDDs and AEFs of new/upcoming Capex projects approved during the partner TCM/OCMs the main projects being G&G studies, drilling campaigns, facilities, well interventions, etc.
- Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documents are maintained/archived appropriately for each project (e.g end of drilling reports, IDDs, AEFs, TCM/OCMs, Tripartie minutes and executive reports, monthly production reports, official letters, etc.).
- Assist the department to determine and report projects, ensure project deadlines are met, and report to Management in case of overrun projects and costs.
- Assist the department to asses project risks while proposing solutions where applicable, and ensure that stakeholders´ views are properly manages towards the best outcome.

- This job requires a broad range of working knowledge and experience in petroleum industry.
- Requires good working knowledge and experience in RDR basin geology, project management, field development.
- Ability to review technical and commercial plans from the partners.
- Ability to communicate at high level with partner organizations, third stakeholders and to prepare accurate reports.
- Master degree in Petroleum Geology, Reservoir Engineering Production Technology
- At least 7 years of working experience in the Oil and Gas Exploration & Production industry.
- Working proficiency in French and English.
- Working to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.
- Good mastery of local Petroleum, Environmental legislation and experience working with Host Communities.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
