Reservoir Geologist

Job Purpose/Summary
The Reservoir Geologist supports G1G operations, provides comprehensive production and reservoir geology inputs within a multi-disciplinary environment. He/she develops field studies, new wells and workover proposals.
Key Accountabilities/ Results Area
- Work in close collaboration with multi-disciplinary team consisting of reservoir engineers, production Technologists, Petro physicist and well engineers.
- Contribute to the planning and scheduling of study project and on the key milestones such as reviews/challenge sessions, reserves booking and reporting .
- Identify, quantity and optimize opportunities in a mature area. The work will include detailed integrated reservoir geological modeling.
- Carry out all required evaluations prior to the start of 3D static modeling.
- Identify and assess risks and uncertainties, apply multiple scenarios approach in the field development planning study leading to the maturing of the development concept.
- Contribute to the field development plan documentation. Provide support to the 3D seismic interpretation as required.

- Firm up further oil development drilling targets, prepare the well data packs and monitor the drilling activities.

- Provide input and advice for operational activities (e.g. well proposals, logging, testing) and well planning and evaluations.
- The position permanently interacts with the Geological and geophysical (G&G)/ Reservoir Engineer (RE): Production Engineering Teams.
- The incumbent is part of a team of 5.
- Improve the satisfaction level of users using non-Production .
- Must have a very good knowledge of the full reservoir characterization workflow process, from construction static 3D reservoir models through to up-scaled dynamic simulation models, including sedimentology, stratigraphy, structural geology, petrophysics, geophysics and reservoir engineering to generate reservoir models.
- Conversant with geological software programs (Kingdom, Petrel, Techlog, Geolog, Petrosys etc).
- Experience in maturing infill and appraisal well locations proposal and workover opportunities.
- Experience in reservoir mapping on different sedimentary and tectonic environments. Good skills volumetric calculation of original oil and gas in place.
- Be proficient with Mudlogging and LWD services.
- Be able to support real time G&G Operation developing log analyst skills and well correlations.
- Be able to prepare and present a pre and post drilling result pack during G&G Workshops.
- Be able to collaborate ensuring EOWR delivering/storage internally and externally with the partners.
- Be able to collaborate ensuring Samples storage internally and deliver externally with the partners
- Be able to cooperate and interact with Operation and WSG Well site geologist.
- Bsc/Msc holder in Geology with at least 5 years´ experience in reservoir geology working in multidisciplinary teams on clastic reservoirs in oil and gas industry.
- Good understand of the upstream hydrocarbons business.
- Good working knowledge of non-Production and Geotechnical applications required to support a successful oil and gas business.
- Bilingual (Fluent in both and written English and French).
- In-depth understanding of at least one of the following core discipline area in geology: Sedimentology, Petroleum Geology or Structural Geology and knowledge of others. Basic knowledge of well log analysis, seismic interpretation and reservoir engineering.
